Séminaire à Guyancourt (amhithéâtre) le lundi 11 octobre à 11h: Ilija Stefanovi? (Research Department «Plasmas with Complex Interactions», Ruhr Universität,  GERMANY): "Dust in laboratory and astrophysics". Despite of relatively small presence in Interstellar Media (ISM) interstellar dust plays a very important role in different processes in space. Dust particles take part in star formations; they are catalysts for molecular formation and reprocess the UV radiation. In different laboratories a number of model particles called astroanalogs have been developed to help understanding formation of interstellar dusts and scenarios for their processing. We developed the dust analog for 3.4 ?m absorption band and test it as the possible origin for still 214 nm mysterious extinction feature, known as a “UV-bump”.
